Dear Parents,
Happy Monday! I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving week and are rested and ready for the holidays. That’s right, the holiday season is upon us! However, before then, we still have a lot to do at Hidden Hills.
First, there’s the Laguna Niguel Holiday Parade and this year our Student Council and exemplary Character Counts Students will be marching in the parade to represent the best of Hidden Hills. In addition to the Student Council, teachers will be choosing 2- 5 grade students who have demonstrated exceptional character this year to join us in the honor of representing our school. Together we will march down Crown Valley on Saturday, December 10 starting at 10:00 am. Join us along the parade route and cheer for our student leaders and great school!
Have you been shopping at any store in the Ocean Ranch or Laguna Heights Marketplace? If so, turn in your receipts at school – this week is the last week of the year (2005) – and support the Dollars for $cholars Program. This was a very successful program last year and it promises to be a generous addition to our PTA funds. Don’t forget to come to our office and deposit original receipts from any purchase at the above shopping centers! Thank you.
Safety Matters:
As you know, there’s not driving allowed on our fire/bus lane adjacent to the school and recently we have begun to place two large cones at the entrance of the lane to remind everyone of this important safety rule. Once the bus comes in during the morning and at afternoon dismissal, the cones block cars from driving in and the teacher on duty is able to supervise along the lane to better ensure safety in the area. Please, help us by remembering to never drive on (except with permission for special circumstances) or cross the fire lane. We appreciate your cooperation!
Upcoming Events:
Every Day of Nov. 28-Dec. 2 School. Really!
Wednesday, Nov. 30 Art Masters Lecture (Thanks to PTA)
Tuesday, Dec. 6 Breakfast with the Principal
Thursday, Dec. 8 Report Cards (correction)
Thank you for your continued support!
